I’ve been observing the poll…and it really does show something. It isn’t directed at any group of people in particular; however the results are very interesting. According to the poll, 64% of the all who responded think that the worst that can happen to them is that they have no significant other in their lives (like a boy/girl friend). Another 23% are worried that they might suddenly become immortal. The other 11% are worried about being mortal humans, who will die eventually.
These results raises a few very interesting points about the nature of the people, at least those who have responded. None of them think having a significant other can be a burden, where as the older couples get, the more and more they complain! Most of them are worried about never having a significant other. That really shows us how most people’s mind works, revolving around love life. The people that are worried about never dying are the most rational in mind. When you think about it, to live forever is not the blessing it sounds like. Imagine, living on, outliving your friends, your family, your significant other. Your life would start to lose any comfort or emotion. The reverse can be seen in the ones who thought dying would be a bad thing. Those are the people who are always worried that they won’t live long enough. But the question is…live long enough to do what?
Please leave comments contradicting me, or strengthening the points I made, or making points I missed.
I will update the polls regularly. They help get a sense of the readers.
